Open Door Group is pleased to announce that Dylan Rickard joined our executive leadership team as incoming Chief Financial Officer in July 2025.
Dylan brings over 20 years of senior financial leadership experience across the municipal government, healthcare, post-secondary, and federal sectors. His proven ability to drive strategic innovation and build resilient financial systems positions him well to support Open Door Group’s continued growth and impact.
Throughout his career, Dylan has led high-impact initiatives, including lean process improvements, enterprise systems implementations, and the oversight of multi-billion-dollar operating budgets. He has played a key role in building financial models for large capital projects and was instrumental in the financial analysis behind Canada’s first rated private debt placement by a port authority.
“Dylan’s depth of experience and values-based leadership align seamlessly with our mission,” says Alona Puehse, CEO of Open Door Group. “He brings the right mix of strategy, accountability, and heart. We’re thrilled to welcome him into our organization.”
Dylan is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, an MBA from Laurentian University, and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.

We are also deeply thankful for Cora Davids, who has led our finance department for over 13 years. Cora has been a driving force in Open Door Group’s evolution- guiding the expansion of services across British Columbia and playing a key role in our national growth in 2023. Under her leadership, Open Door Group has supported over 8,000 individuals and 2,500 employers annually and earned certification as a social enterprise purchaser through Buy Social Canada. Her expertise and values have helped us build strong partnerships with funders and position the organization for long-term success.
“Cora’s legacy is one of compassion, clarity, and unwavering dedication to our people-first approach,” says Alona. “We’re deeply grateful for the impact she has made and the foundation she’s laid for this next phase.”
