Our Brand Story
We believe employment is an opportunity to build one's purpose, sense of value, and community connection. Our mission is opening doors to well-being through sustainable and meaningful employment for all!
Behind Our Brand
Our story began in 1976, when a small group of passionate volunteers in Vancouver started offering woodworking and sewing workshops to people living with mental health challenges, driven by the belief that everyone can and wants to participate in their community through meaningful work.
Today, Open Door Group is a CARF-accredited, not-for-profit organization and registered charity, committed to the belief that everyone has the ability to succeed. We provide employment services across Canada, helping individuals prepare for, find, and retain meaningful employment. Additionally, we offer mental health, wellness, vocational, and community connection programs in Vancouver and Kamloops, supporting over 8,000 individuals annually who are facing mental health challenges. Our personalized and tailored services are designed to support everyone who comes through our doors in building resilience, confidence, and well-being. Our commitment to empowering people through meaningful work remains stronger than ever.
