Open Door Group and ETHOS Join Forces to Expand Impact and Employment Opportunities

Vancouver, B.C., September 15, 2025 – Open Door Group (ODG) and ETHOS Career Management Group Ltd. (ETHOS) are excited to announce they are officially coming together as one organization, uniting their expertise, values, and long histories of supporting people in achieving sustainable and meaningful employment.
The two organizations began their relationship in 2015 when ODG became a 50% owner of ETHOS. As a silent partner, ODG and ETHOS operated as separate entities until August 2024 when ODG purchased the remaining shares to become the full owner of ETHOS. This past year, both ODG and ETHOS have worked collaboratively to plan for a stronger future together.
What Does This Mean?
Founded in 2000, ETHOS is a recognized leader in tech-enabled employment services focused on building user-friendly online platforms to enhance employment services and training needs.
For decades, both ETHOS and ODG have worked to create inclusive employment opportunities for people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. By combining forces, ODG and ETHOS will stand stronger together in an increasingly competitive market.
“At ODG we have long admired ETHOS for the innovative and accessible ways they approach employment services,” says Alona Puehse, Chief Executive Officer, Open Door Group. “By joining, we are building on the strengths of both organizations to improve employment outcomes for more people across Canada.”
To ensure continuity for clients and communities, ETHOS’ employment services and programs will transition under the ODG umbrella and be fully integrated by April 2026. In addition to continuing to support clients, ETHOS will also expand their products and services within Open Door Ventures (a subsidiary of Open Door Group). This will allow ETHOS to sharpen its focus on developing innovative online platforms and expand its reach to a broader customer base across the country.
“Our mission at ETHOS has always been to create diverse, equitable employment environments where everyone feels empowered to succeed,” says Martin Beach, CEO, ETHOS. “Open Door Group’s work aligns perfectly with ours, and together, we can take our collective impact even further.”
“This is an exciting time of expansion for both organizations,” adds Puehse. “We will now be able to support more people as they embark on their path to finding fulfilling employment.”
