Inclusive Place to Work Certification- Call for Proposals (CFP)
Today, there are 645,000 people living with disabilities in Canada, aged 25 to 64 years, who are not employed and not currently in school. The employment rate of people with disabilities (65%) remains lower than that of people without disabilities (80%) (Statistics Canada, 2022).
Conversely, Canadian employers are increasingly facing difficulties filling vacant positions. This is caused by various factors, such as an aging population, evolving skill requirements versus supply, and shifting priorities of job seekers relating to wages and overall alignment with organizational and personal values.
Open Door Group is committed to advancing accessible and inclusive workplaces through a certification program aimed at supporting employers in improving workplace accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability. This Call for Proposals seeks a qualified Contractor to design and develop an Inclusive Place to Work Certification Program (the “Program”), strengthening our goal of fostering a community of accessible employers across various industries and sizes in Canada.
