Looking for your first job?  Jump start your career in 7-weeks or less with Jobs in Demand.  Our Vancouver program includes Hospitality, Social Services, and Security.  Get the certifications and training you need to start working in these high demand industries right here in the city.  Our team will also connect you with employers and provide you with one-on-one job search support to set you up for success!

Eligibility.

  • You are 19 to 29 years old
  • You are legally able to work in Canada
  • You are unemployed or working < 20 hours per week
  • You are not a full-time student
  • You have not been on EI in the last 3 years
  • You have not been on Parental EI in the last 5 years
  • You identify as having a physical, cognitive, mental health, sensory or developmental that affects your ability to find and maintain work

Social Services.

Passionate about helping people? Interested in working in non-profits? A career in social services may be right for you!

Our Social Services program will provide you with a practical, hands-on learning environment to get you ready for work as a Community Worker, Activity Worker, Food Support Worker or Job Coach. Develop skills, get relevant certifications, connect with potential employers, and gain mentorship from our knowledgeable facilitators and advisors—all while connecting with like-minded individuals in your cohort.

Security.

Security is one of the fastest growing industries in BC. As a security professional, you’ll be able to work in the public sector, private sector, or as an independent contractor in a variety of roles. Security also provides a good entry point into other protection and law enforcement professions such as police officer, corrections officer, and more.

Our Security program provides you with a practical, hands-on learning environment to get you ready for work. Learn about security work, get relevant certifications, connect with potential employers, and gain mentorship from our knowledgeable facilitators and advisors—all while connecting with like-minded individuals in your cohort.
