2020 Impact Hiring Fair

HIRING FAIR DETAILS
Hosted by Open Door Group, this yearly event focusses on connecting employers in the Vancouver Area with candidates of all abilities to meet their hiring needs. This year, the Impact Hiring Fair will be completely virtual and features a full-day schedule of virtual employer info sessions for job seekers to choose from!
This year’s presenters include:
- Rogers Communication
- Purdys Chocolatier
- Paladin Security
- Quest Food Exchange
- BCAA
- Embers Staffing Solutions
- BC Partners for Workforce Innovation
While the Virtual Employer Information Sessions are open to all interested job seekers, WorkBC Vancouver City Centre and Gastown Vocational Services will be offering a virtual workshop series from September 28 – 30 to provide specific support to job seekers with a disability in preparing for the hiring fair.
ASL Interpretation will be provided at all sessions!

Hiring Fair Preparation Workshops
While the Virtual Employer Information Sessions are open to all interested job seekers, WorkBC Vancouver City Centre and Gastown Vocational Services will be offering a virtual workshop series from September 28 – 30 to provide specific support to job seekers with a disability in preparing for the hiring fair. Workshop topics will include:

- Interview Skills and Coaching
- How to Attend a Virtual Hiring Fair
Gastown Vocational Services:
- Disclosure and Workplace Accommodations

For WorkBC Vancouver City Centre Workshops:
- Must self-identify with a disability to attend
- Contact WorkBC at 604-334-6372 or centre-vancouver-burrard@workbc.ca to register
- Clients must enroll with WorkBC services to attend and must contact WorkBC by September 18 to be eligible
For Gastown Vocational Services (GVS) Workshops:
- Must self-identify with a disability to attend
