With the COVID-19 situation evolving each day, Open Door Group continues to closely follow guidance from the World Health Organization, the Public Health Agency of Canada, BC’s Public Health Office, and the BC Centre for Disease Control to implement measures to maintain a healthy and safe environment for visitors, clients and staff at each of our service locations in British Columbia.
At this time, our facilities are continuing to safely operate, and we have implemented additional measures to ensure safety such as:

    • Actively directing employees and clients access the site to return home and report any flu-like symptoms by calling 8-1-1 HealthLink.
    • Enhancing workplace cleaning protocols at all our locations, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment
    • Actively promoting regular and thorough hand-washing and respiratory hygiene by employees, clients and visitors to the centre. Hand washing stations, sanitizer, and prominent posters are accessible at each site.
    • In line with provincial protocols, directing all staff, clients, and visitors who have travelled internationally to self-isolate for 14 days and report any flu-like symptoms by calling 8-1-1- Healthlink.
    • Practicing social distancing at our centres, specifically, avoiding close contact between individuals and avoiding greetings that involve touching such as handshakes.
