ABOUT OPEN DOOR GROUP

Established in 1976, Open Door Group started as a small group of dedicated citizens providing woodworking and sewing classes to people with physical and emotional disabilities. Over the years, we have grown into a provincial organization with locations throughout the Lower Mainland and the Interior of BC. We now serve over 3,000 people a year.

Open Door Group offers innovative leisure programs and a variety of employment programs that serve unemployed British Columbians, including persons with disabilities and barriers to employment. Our services are free to participants and employers looking to hire great staff.

Open Door Group programs are funded by the BC Ministry of Housing and Social Development, Interior Health Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. Our full legal name is "Open Door Social Services Society".
